| Some of You may have seen my presentation thread, but who hasnt can check it out Shortly i am building 88 class bike for Estonian Mini MX chamionship. Well i did get myself brand new YCF PILOT 88 rolling chassis and now its time to start modding it. Thats what i started with: After some time it came to this: Some of You may think why i had to do this, but heres the reason, sweet set of genuine Marzocchi Shivers 610mm: But as expected everything cant go that smooth. 1. YCF forks are 660, Marzocchis are 610mm- low front end 2. Marzocchis top clamp is with step, which makes the forks longer, but its lower clamp stem is too short. 3. YCF bottom clamp stem doesnt fit to Marzocchis clamps. So i need new stem for Marzocchi clamps, which has to be longer about 1,5cm and bottom bearing surface has little different bearing surface dimension. Hope i get that solved quickly and build can continue soon. I have some nice parts waiting about what You will hear very soon, so far let me know what You think... BTW i hope to put a lot of pictures to this thread beacuse everybody like pictures Silver |

| Seems like a sweet garage you have here (With the mule) Zokes are always a great start, i think you'll figure out how to bolt it soon too, doesn't sounds too hard to do
Are you going to change the shock too ? |

| Its at my works place, we are also Arctic Cat dealers and that behind there is Wildcat, one expensive toy. I have never had good quality pit bike and i think Marzocchis are good way to start and hopefully i get them on there really soon. I do have Marzocchi shock, but its 280mm and YCF original one is 310 so mine is way too short unfortuanetly. I am not going to change shock now beacuse i have to do some engine tuning also.

| YCf are good bikes, the issue that you can have with those bikes are mostly with the engine so yea, you can tune a bit but not too much to not fragilize it
I don't know about your budget but i think a Elka V2 is foundable even USED, or go for a NEW V1 then upgrade it as a V2 later But if you can't right now i think the stock shock will do it fine, it's all depending ons eries you know, like some series of shocks sucks and others are pretty nice, even if they will never stand with a branded one
laso you might change your bar too, take a pro taper for example, becausez the YCF ones easily bent |

| I have CRF70 Gb4 engine for this bike, so pretty much sky (actually wallet) is the limit. This year i have planned TB88 stock head kit, TB camshaft, TB HD clutch and little port work on the head. I chose this engine beacuse of the head so i dont have to buy new head right away. E22 and CRF70 head should have same valve size 23/20 if im right... My boss looked shock and bounced it around a bit and said that its quite good and after some riding should put new oil in there. I try to get bike running and then can slowly upgrade pieces including shock.

| Thats what i was expecting, throwing a GB4 in here, couldn't be better ! yea you'll have to test the shock first, and yes new oil is always a great idea because the one used is cheap I think |

| Havent posted here for a long time. Got new stem made and front end is now atteched, but the Marzocchis clamps are not that wide as YCF clamps so now i have issues with mounting the front wheel, brake disck is against the fork leg, but the wheel is still not in the center guess i have to get myself Marzocchi front wheel, easiest solution. Will add more pictures as soon when i get the wheel attached. |

| Sounds the better way too since YCF wheels aren't that good, maybe the high end one Still, worth the money at the end when you'll ride it and don't feel shocks because of front end |

| Wow 3rd May only, most of the track openned 2 weeks ago now, but my bike is far from ready anyways Thaths good then, so you have plenty of time to set all details before even ride it, the bike would be perfect then |

| We had very nice weather but then it snowed like 20cm in one night. Engine works should start next week, i am not sure if i get myself TB kit, maybe just bore stock cylinder to 52mm, some head porting, better cam, bigger carb and call it a day. I think CRF70 clutch and oilpump can hold up with those small modifications or what You think? |

| Thanks for the feedback! My Marzocchi front end is little too short, thats why the rear end sits higher, i need 305mm shock i guess. BTW i now have team graphics installed so hope to show you some new pictures soon! |
